Role Overview

This position has a strong emphasis on customer service to our patients. The role involves ensuring quality patient scheduling, positive telephone etiquette, and customer satisfaction in support of the mission of Cooper University Hospital. The representative will serve as the front line contact person for all incoming patients, greeting, registering, scheduling, collecting point of service copays, and providing general information to patients and their families using AIDET.

The main day-to-day responsibilities include providing excellent customer service, ensuring quality patient scheduling, and maintaining positive telephone etiquette. The representative will also be responsible for collecting point of service copays, registering patients, and providing general information to patients and their families.

Requirements

  • Minimum one year of recent registration or billing experience working in a medical facility
  • Proficiency in patient registration, scheduling, medical insurance pre-certifications, authorizations, and referrals
  • Epic experience preferred
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • NAHAM Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) certification preferred
