Role OverviewThe Patient Services Specialist I is part of a department-based scheduling pod that handles large volumes of inquiries and requests from patients and customers. The role delivers an exceptional patient experience through excellent customer service, empathy, and patience.
What You Will Do
Schedule appointment requests, communicate insurance participation, and perform real-time insurance verification. Participate in team discussions, address outstanding Epic work queue accounts, and provide support and back-up coverage as needed.

Requirements
- High School Diploma or the equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
- Proficiency in medical terminology
- Excellent customer service and problem assessment skills
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel)
- Prior high volume customer service experience in a call center environment
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
