Job Description
The City of Lawrence is seeking Police Officer positions. Duties include patrolling, responding to calls, investigating complaints, and enforcing laws. An officer must maintain good relationships with citizens and promote police/community relations.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • 21 years of age
  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • College degree preferred
  • Experience in meeting and dealing with the public
  • Pass written exam, physical agility test, and oral interview board
  • Pass extensive background investigation, polygraph examination, and physical and medical screen
