Role OverviewThe patrol officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and welfare of patients, visitors, and staff members of UH. They help maintain a safe environment free of theft and other criminal activities.
What You Will Do
Exercises independent judgment in potentially dangerous situations, patrols assigned areas, conducts security checks, and responds to emergency calls. Prepares and processes reports, maintains security, and communicates with patients, visitors, and staff.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have good written and oral communication skills, be able to work outdoors in any type of weather, and have basic computer skills. A valid driver's license and private security certificate with firearms are required. The patrol officer will work under stressful, high-risk conditions and must be able to relate to people of diverse backgrounds.
Requirements
- High School Equivalent / GED
- Driver's License (Valid)
- Private Security Certificate with Firearms from Ohio Peace Officer Training Commission (Preferred)
- Ohio Peace Officer Certificate (Required)
- Basic computer skills
