Role OverviewSupport roadway paving operations in the field by monitoring work activities, assisting with measurements and documentation, verifying roadway and paving conditions, and helping ensure work is completed in accordance with project plans, specifications, safety requirements, and established construction standards.
What You Will Do
Assist with daily roadway and paving operations, monitor paving activities, assist with roadway measurements, verify and document paving limits, stationing, quantities, locations, and daily production activities.

Ideal candidate will have 1+ years of experience in roadway construction, paving, asphalt operations, or a related field, with a basic understanding of roadway construction and asphalt paving operations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1+ years of experience in roadway construction, paving, asphalt operations, heavy civil construction, or a related field preferred
- Basic understanding of roadway construction and asphalt paving operations preferred
- Ability to read and understand construction plans, roadway drawings, specifications, measurements, and field documentation
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and field measurements
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document field conditions and construction activities
- Ability to communicate effectively with field crews, supervisors, inspectors, and project personnel
- Ability to work independently and as part of a construction team
- Basic computer, tablet, or mobile-device skills for entering field information and completing documentation
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
- FDOT or other roadway-related certifications are preferred but not required
- Ability to work outdoors in active roadway construction environments
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, early mornings, and overtime based on project requirements
