Role Overview

MCI is seeking a detail-oriented Payment Processing Specialist to join their Finance & Accounting team. The ideal candidate is highly motivated and dedicated, with experience in payment processing, accounting, finance, banking, or reconciliation. The role involves providing backup and support to the Payment Processing Coordinator and Finance Director, with a focus on cross-training on daily payment processing, reconciliation, client remittances, NSFs/chargebacks, refunds, invoicing, and month-end financial reporting.

What You Will Do

Key responsibilities include providing backup and support to the Payment Processing Coordinator and Finance Director, processing and reviewing payment transactions for accuracy, assisting with client remittances, NSFs, chargebacks, refunds, and invoicing, completing and assisting with bank and financial reconciliations, and maintaining accurate financial records and supporting documentation.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED
  • 1 year of experience
  • Previous experience in payment processing, accounting, finance, banking, or reconciliation
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Strong numerical skills and data-entry accuracy
  • Ability to identify, investigate, research, and resolve discrepancies
  • Understanding of basic accounting and financial principles
