Payroll and Human Resources Administrator

The Payroll and Human Resources Administrator will support corporate operations in Virginia Beach, VA. The ideal candidate will be dependable, have exceptional attention to detail, strong customer service skills, and experience working in Payroll. The role involves conducting payroll processes, responding to payroll-related inquiries, and performing personnel and pay-related data entry across multiple systems.

What You Will Do

The main day-to-day responsibilities include conducting all payroll processes, responding to payroll-related inquiries, reconciling tax filings, processing garnishment calculations, and generating payroll reports. The role also involves collaborating with state and federal agencies, troubleshooting interface connection issues, and providing support to the Human Resources department.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Undergraduate degree in an accounting or human resources discipline and/or relevant professional certifications
• At least three (3) years of recent, relevant experience with a primary duty of supporting and processing payroll functions
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations related to payroll, taxes, and statutory deductions
• Understanding of accounting principles and payroll best practices
• In-depth knowledge of relevant payroll regulations and compliance requirements
• Strong proficiency with common productivity software, especially Microsoft Excel
• Familiarity with the payroll module of ADP Workforce Now is preferred
