Job Description
The NYC Department of Probation is seeking a Payroll Director to oversee the Department's payroll operations, providing leadership to the Payroll unit and ensuring accurate and timely administration of payroll. The Director will serve as a key liaison with oversight agencies and internal stakeholders, supervising staff and supporting the Department's operational and financial objectives.

Requirements

  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight for the Payroll unit.
  • Direct and manage staff responsible for the preparation, auditing, and processing of biweekly payroll.
  • Interpret and apply collective bargaining agreements and payroll regulations.
  • Serve as liaison between the Department and citywide entities.
  • Supervise and guide staff performing payroll, audit, and related operational functions.
