Payroll Lead

The Payroll Lead owns end-to-end payroll for a distributed workforce, including multi-state US payroll and international payroll through EOR partners. The role requires a meticulous and solution-oriented payroll professional with experience in payroll execution, systems, and process improvement. The Payroll Lead will work closely with the Sr Manager of Payroll & Benefits and partners in People Operations and Finance.

What You Will Do

The Payroll Lead will own and optimize integrations between HRIS and adjacent systems, build AI-assisted payroll dashboards, and lead payroll data analysis projects. The role also involves performing quarterly and annual SALT payroll reconciliations, administering the 401(k) plan, and preparing and remitting workers' compensation filings and payroll expense tax filings.

Requirements

• 4+ years of progressive payroll experience
• Hands-on experience with modern payroll/HRIS platforms
• Advanced Excel skills
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations

• High attention to detail, discretion with confidential information, and a strong sense of ownership over deadlines
