Role Overview

The Payroll Specialist position is a major contributor to the organization in regard to ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of the weekly/biweekly employee payroll. This position also supports key areas of the Human Resources departments.

What You Will Do

Maintain employee database, process employee payroll each week, payroll reporting, answer employee questions as they arise, manage garnishments, contributions, 401k, flex and other payables.

Why It Might Be a Fit

Must be able to handle high-pressure situations, responsible for completing certified payroll forms, establish and review the prevailing wage rates and fringe metrics per project.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or some post-secondary education
  • Payroll experience – 2-4 years with prevailing wage knowledge
  • Union payroll experience
  • Large scale payroll experience preferred (1000+ employees)
  • ADP payroll platform specifically Time and Attendance and Workforce Now
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Positive attitude and professional behavior
  • Previous HR experience a plus
