Job Description
We are looking for a Payroll Specialist at our Baton Rouge, LA office. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for performing general payroll administration and maintenance functions while supporting broader payroll operations. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and Time Entry Delegates to ensure accurate timekeeping, employee data maintenance, and payroll compliance.

Requirements

  • 2 or more years of experience in payroll or a related function
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) is preferred
  • Proficient in payroll software (Dayforce preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, tax laws, and best practices
  • Effective use of Microsoft Office software
  • Outstanding customer service and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
  • Ability to exercise sound professional judgment and take responsibility for decisions impacting employees and service quality
  • Ability to build and maintain a positive working relationship with teammates and co-workers
  • Ability to research, analyze data, and solve problems
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize work projects and multi-task
