Job Description
Under the direction of a licensed clinician, the Patient Care Technician II provides patient care to meet personal needs and comfort of patients, and assists in moving, lifting, positioning, and transporting patients. The role requires a high school education, basic life support certification, and 6 months of prior inpatient or outpatient direct patient care experience or completion of a Patient Care Technician I level with 800 hours and 6 months experience.

Requirements

  • High school education or GED
  • Basic Life Support certification
  • 6 months of prior inpatient or outpatient direct patient care experience
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English in a clear and concise manner
  • Basic computer skills
  • Basic Medical Terminology knowledge
  • Ability to remain calm when under stress or in emergency situations
