Role OverviewThe Peer Recovery Support Specialist provides strengths-based peer support to individuals navigating mental health and/or substance use challenges, with a focus on those who are justice-involved or at risk of justice involvement. This is a temporary, grant-funded position ending July 31, 2026.
What You Will Do
Provide one-on-one peer support and mentorship, assist participants in developing wellness action plans, support participants in identifying strengths, goals, and personal wellness strategies, and provide resource navigation and connection to community supports.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, a Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist (PRSS) credential, or PRSS intern status with relevant experience, and be in recovery for at least two years prior to full PRSS certification.
