Job Description
We are seeking a motivated Full Time Peer Specialist to work in the community and in our Cayuga Crisis Residence. The Peer Specialist will provide peer support and resources for participants in the Jail Diversion program, utilizing their own lived experience with addiction, homelessness, justice system, and/or mental health, as well as their training in Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Informed Care, and Cultural Competence/Health Literacy.
Requirements
HS Diploma required
Work experience in a behavioral health or related setting
Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) through the Academy of Peer Services training program preferred
Valid NYS Driver's License required
