Job Description
Claratel Behavioral Health is seeking a Peer Specialist to provide non-clinical professional and specialized support services to clients who have experienced gun violence. The ideal candidate will have lived experience with mental health and/or substance use challenges, a high school diploma or GED, and a Certified Peer Specialist (CPS-MH or CPS-AD) certification or ability to obtain within 12 months.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Certified Peer Specialist (CPS-MH or CPS-AD) or ability to obtain within 12 months
  • Lived experience with mental health or addiction recovery
  • 1+ year of experience in behavioral health, case management, or advocacy
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and technology skills
  • Reliable transportation & valid GA driver’s license
