Role OverviewPerfusionist III is a clinician with 5 or more years of experience who operates and maintains the heart-lung machine and other related equipment during cardiothoracic surgeries.
What You Will Do
Selects appropriate circuits, primes, calibrates, assembles, and performs quality control on devices associated with cardiopulmonary bypass, and demonstrates proficiency in complex aortic surgical procedures.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience, be certified as a Perfusionist, and have a strong understanding of cardiopulmonary bypass and ECMO procedures.
Requirements
- Associate's degree required or Higher-level degree or equivalent training and graduation from an accredited school of perfusion technology required
- 5+ years or equivalent case load preferred
- Certified Perfusionist or certification-eligible by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion required
