Job Description
The NYC Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) is seeking a Permit Coordinator to provide permitting support and coordination of regulatory and environmental review compliance programs for capital projects. The selected candidate will perform permit identification, acquisition, and compliance, as well as develop and review permit applications and environmental review documentation.

Requirements

  • Practical knowledge of environmental science topics
  • Strong organization and time management with ability to prioritize daily tasks
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written and communication skills
  • Experience with permitting, environmental review and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent research and analytical skills
  • Ability to meet quick deadlines and provide problem resolution to project issues
  • Experience with large datasets
  • Excellent computer skills in MS Word, MS Access, MS Excel, and/or equivalent statistical/data management software
