Role OverviewResponsible for the construction permitting process for houses, model homes, and construction offices/trailers, including tracking weekly status of reviews at municipalities. Assembles and marks up plans for permitting, field staff, and subcontractors. Maintains document management and filing system for the department.
What You Will Do
Order lot specific plan sets, review plans for accuracy, prepare check requests for permits, pay re-inspection fees, order liens, update weekly the Starts Report, JD Edwards, and various other permit tracking reports.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Previous experience in homebuilding or construction industry required
- Experience reading and reviewing construction plans
- Experience reading and reviewing plot plans highly desired
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and detail-oriented aptitude
- Proficient with word processing and spreadsheet software
- Accuracy and attention to detail along with problem solving skills
