Role OverviewThe Personal Trainer is responsible for designing and delivering personalized fitness programs to help clients achieve their health and wellness goals. This role includes conducting fitness assessments, providing instruction on proper exercise techniques, and offering motivation, accountability, and support.
What You Will Do
Conduct initial consultations and fitness assessments for new clients, develop customized workout plans, instruct clients on proper form and technique, and monitor client progress.

Requirements
- CPR certification
- First Aid certification
- AED certification
- National certification in group fitness instruction (ACE, NETA, AFAA, NASM) or YMCA Foundations of Group Exercise certification
- Certification as a personal trainer from YMCA, AFAA, ACSM, ACE, NASM or other accredited organization
- YMCA Healthy Lifestyles certification within 60 days of hire
- Orientation to Healthy Living at the Y, Foundations of Listen First, Principles of Member Health & Wellness
