Role OverviewAs a PET & Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for operating imaging equipment (Gamma cameras) to create diagnostic images of a patient's body. This role prepares radioactive drugs and administers them to the patient, usually through an intravenous line, and prepare the exam for analysis through post processing and image enhancement.
What You Will Do
Perform high quality diagnostic studies according to RAYUS protocols, assist the interpreting physician with the most accurate diagnosis, and proficiently perform all Nuclear and PET studies.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Must have an understanding and maintain good practice in the proper disposal of all sharps, biohazardous waste, and the proper handling of radioactive materials, and must have sufficient training and experience to competently perform Nuclear Medicine procedures independently.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology
- Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography
- Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) Certification, in good standing
- Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
- Certification in imaging specialty
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
- Certification in ACLS (Advance Cardiac Life Support)
