Job Description
Role Overview

As a Petroleum Inspector, you will visit client facilities, including barges and ships, shore tanks, railcars, and tank trucks for quantity surveys of a variety of commodities, including petroleum and petrochemicals inspection and collect samples for laboratory analysis.

What You Will Do

Maintain a valid driver's license and a working vehicle, receive orders, gather paperwork, ensure equipment is in good operating condition, report to job-site punctually, and communicate any problems or discrepancies to the Operations Supervisor.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education development certificate (GED)
  • Knowledge of company HS&E procedures and associated governmental regulations
  • Valid driver's license and a working vehicle (car or truck, no motorcycles)
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
