Role OverviewAs a 3rd year pharmacy intern at CVS Health, you will work as part of the pharmacy team in a Retail Pharmacy environment, delivering our purpose of increasing access, lowering costs, and improving quality of care. Under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you play a critical role in ensuring a safe and effective work environment that provides exceptional care to each patient.
What You Will Do
Your responsibilities include patient safety, pharmacy professional practice, regulatory requirements, quality assurance, customer service, inventory management, and workflow management (excluding final prescription verification). You will also keep customers and patients healthy through adoption and management of patient care programs, and lead with heart by displaying empathy and compassion for patients, customers, caregivers, and colleagues.

Requirements
- Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
- 0-3 years relevant work experience
- Must possess or be in process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Complete all required training within state guidelines and required timeframe
- Ability to have regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
- Ability to be mobile and remain upright for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift, scan, and bag items
- Finger dexterity for picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working primarily with fingers
- Ability to reach overhead and extend hands and arms to grasp items
- Precision control to adjust machines to exact positions
- Ability to stoop to a considerable degree and use lower extremities and back muscles to move items
- Close visual acuity for transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, reading, visual inspection involving small parts
- Ability to orally communicate information and instructions to colleagues and customers
- Occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs
