Role Overview

As a 3rd year pharmacy intern at CVS Health, you will work as part of the pharmacy team in a retail setting, delivering our purpose, modeling our values, and demonstrating genuine, authentic care for our patients. Under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you play a critical role in ensuring a safe and effective Retail Pharmacy work environment that delivers exceptional care to each patient.

What You Will Do

Your responsibilities include patient safety, pharmacy professional practice, regulatory requirements, quality assurance, customer service, inventory management, and workflow management excluding final prescription verification. You will also keep customers and patients healthy through adoption and management of patient care programs, and strive to provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.

Requirements

  • Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
  • 0-3 years relevant work experience
  • Must possess or be in process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Complete all required training within state guidelines and required timeframe
  • Ability to have regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
  • Ability to be mobile and remain upright for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift, scan, and bag items
  • Finger dexterity for picking, pinching, typing
  • Ability to reach overhead and extend arms to grasp items
  • Precision control to adjust machines to exact positions
  • Ability to stoop and bend at the waist
  • Close visual acuity for transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, reading, visual inspection
  • Ability to orally communicate information and instructions
  • Occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs
