Role Overview

As a 3rd year pharmacy intern at CVS Health, you work as part of the pharmacy team delivering our purpose, modeling our values, and demonstrating genuine, authentic care for our patients. Under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you play a critical role in ensuring a safe and effective Retail Pharmacy work environment that delivers exceptional care to each patient.

What You Will Do

You will keep customers and patients healthy through adoption and management of patient care programs. Responsibilities include patient safety, pharmacy professional practice, regulatory requirements, quality assurance, customer service, inventory management, and workflow management excluding final prescription verification.

This role is ideal for a 3rd year pharmacy student enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy with 0-3 years relevant work experience. You must possess or be in process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure. The position offers a pay range of $20.00 - $23.75 per hour and is part-time with benefits including dental, vision, wellness resources, and employee discounts.

Requirements

  • Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
  • 0-3 years relevant work experience
  • Must possess or be in process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Complete all required training within state guidelines and required timeframe
  • Ability to have regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
  • Ability to be mobile and remain upright for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift, scan, and bag items
  • Finger dexterity for picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working primarily with fingers
  • Ability to reach overhead
  • Ability to extend hand(s) and arm(s) multiple directions to place, move, or lift items
  • Precision control to adjust machines to exact positions
  • Ability to stoop to a considerable degree
  • Visual acuity for transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, reading, visual inspection involving small parts
  • Ability to orally communicate information and instructions
  • Occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs
