Role OverviewThe Clinical Pharmacy Manager identifies, develops, implements, and monitors clinical pharmacy programs for their respective WellStar Hospital. They supervise clinical pharmacists, PGY-1 residents, and clinical dietitians in clinical pharmacy practice. This role coordinates clinical pharmacy activities for the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee and develops strategies to improve therapy outcomes while reducing costs.
What You Will Do
Coordinate and supervise the clinical pharmacy program and day-to-day clinical operations. Develop and implement new clinical pharmacy programs to enhance patient care, train pharmacists in clinical practice, and supplement clinical functions during vacancies. Interview, hire, and train clinical pharmacists and dietitians, and interface with Medical Staff on selected topics.

Requirements
- Oriented and knowledgeable in the specialized functions of a hospital pharmacy
- Minimum 5 years worked in a hospital pharmacy
- Worked in a supervisory capacity in a hospital pharmacy for a minimum of one (1) year
- Knowledgeable in the use of automated dispensing system
- Knowledgeable of computerized hospital pharmacy systems
- Demonstrated leadership qualities
- Ability to supervise both professional and non-professional employees
- Demonstrated ability to work with other Hospital Departments and Department Managers
- Ability to converse and work with Medical Staff
- Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written)
- Strong customer service attitude
