Role OverviewThe Pharmacy Technician 1 assists pharmacists in retrieving, processing, preparing, and distributing medications for patient administration. The Technician 1 functions in all aspects of drug distribution that do not require the professional judgment of a pharmacist.
What You Will Do
Accurate preparation of patient medications, inventory management, and timely delivery of patient specific medications. Utilizes pharmacy systems to process prescriptions, and accurately prepares dangerous drugs for dispensing.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Prior experience as a pharmacy technician in a hospital or community setting is preferred. Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients.
Requirements
- High School Equivalent / GED
- Graduate of an accredited pharmacy technician training program
- Prior experience as a pharmacy technician in a hospital or community setting
- Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPhT) State of Ohio RPhT license
