Job Description
UT Southwestern is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to work in our acute care overnight pipeline. The ideal candidate will have experience in pharmacy or a related field, be certified as a Registered Technician, and possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills. The shift for this role is full-time night shift (7 on, 7 off) 8pm - 7am with weekend work required.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of experience in pharmacy or equivalent technician
  • TSBP) REG PHARMACY TECNICIAN Certification
  • BASIC LIFE SUPPORT Certification
  • Ability to perform math reasoning
  • Attention to detail, ensuring adherence to safety regulations and practices
  • English skills (speaking, reading, writing)
  • Good general health and stress coping ability
  • Moderate physical effort: prolonged standing/walking, occasional lifting/carrying (up to 25 lbs)
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of metric and apothecary systems and ability to utilize basic pharmacy equipment
  • Telephone and personal contact with various levels of internal and external personnel and organizations
