Role Overview

Pharmacy Technician I/II will perform various duties related to the procurement, preparation, distribution, and storage of drugs, as well as assist with clinical pharmacy services. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited pharmacy technician-training program, or acceptance into pharmacy school, or one year of pharmacy or healthcare-related experience.

What You Will Do

Accurately and efficiently follow workflow procedures, restock automatic dispensing cabinets, answer telephone calls, handle medications, collaborate with the pharmacy team, and assist with basic clinical functions. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited pharmacy technician-training program, or acceptance into pharmacy school, or one year of pharmacy or healthcare-related experience
  • Registration with the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy within the first 180 days for Pharmacy Tech I
  • Pharmacy Technician certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or The Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT) for Pharmacy Tech II
