Role OverviewThe Inpatient Pharmacy at MedStar St. Mary's Hospital is hiring a PRN Pharmacy Technician II. Under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, the pharmacy technician prepares and fills routine orders for prescribed medications.
What You Will Do
Safely and accurately prepares all medications in the readiest to administer form using proper techniques, calculations, and appropriate precautions.

Ensures that medications are properly and safely stored throughout the hospital.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Completion of an approved/accredited Pharmacy Technician training program required or current enrollment in a current college of pharmacy program preferred
- One year of relevant education may be substituted for one year of required work experience
- 6 to 12 months related pharmacy technician experience preferred
- 6 months Hospital environment experience preferred
- PHRMTECH-R - Registered Pharmacy Technician through the DC Board of Pharmacy Upon Hire required
- CPhT (Certified Pharmacy Technician) National Pharmacy Technician Certification through Board of Pharmacy approved program required upon hire
- RPI - Reg Pharmacy Intern Registered Pharmacy Student Intern through the Board of Pharmacy preferred
