Pharmacy Technician

CVS Health is transforming health care for customers, and Pharmacy Technicians play a critical role in supporting pharmacy teams to deliver on the brand promise. Technicians support the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence within the store, often being the first point of contact to assist patients and customers. They operate as part of the pharmacy team through consistent application of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), best practices, and effective communication.

What You Will Do

Technicians contribute to safe and effective pharmacy operations by following SOPs at each workstation to help pharmacists manage patient health. They follow pharmacy workflow procedures at production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment. They contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy, offering immunizations, and solving or escalating patient problems. They also complete basic inventory activities such as putting away medication deliveries and completing cycle counts.

Candidates must be at least 16 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school. Preferred qualifications include 1-3 years of previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician and experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.
