Role Overview

CVS Health is transforming health care, and Pharmacy Technicians play a critical role in supporting pharmacy teams to deliver operational and service excellence within Retail locations. Technicians are often the first point of contact to assist patients and customers, ensuring pharmacy operations run smoothly and prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately.

What You Will Do

Support the pharmacy team by following Standard Operating Procedures at each workstation (production, pick-up, drive-thru, drop-off) for safe prescription fulfillment. Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy, offering immunizations and other services, and solving or escalating patient problems. Complete basic inventory activities such as putting away medication deliveries and cycle counts, and remain flexible for scheduling and business needs, including traveling to other stores in the market.

Preferred qualifications include 1-3 years of previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting. Requirements

  • Must comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy, which includes but is not limited to, age, education, and licensure/certification
  • If the state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum age requirement, must be at least 16 years of age
  • If the state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum educational requirement, must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program
