Pharmacy Technician

At CVS Health, Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy teams in delivering operational and service excellence within retail stores. Technicians are often the first point of contact to assist patients and customers, ensuring prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately. They operate as part of the pharmacy team through consistent application of Standard Operating Procedures and effective communication.

What You Will Do

Technicians contribute to safe and effective pharmacy operations by following SOPs at each workstation, including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off. They complete basic inventory activities, contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy, and may support immunizations where permissible. They also remain flexible for scheduling and business needs, including traveling to other stores in the market.

Requirements

• Must comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy, which includes but is not limited to, age, education, and licensure/certification

• If the state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum educational requirement, must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program
