Role Overview

CVS Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacy teams in delivering operational and service excellence within retail locations. Technicians are often the first point of contact to assist patients and customers, ensuring prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately. This role operates as part of the pharmacy team through consistent application of Standard Operating Procedures and effective communication.

What You Will Do

Support pharmacy operations by following workflow procedures at each workstation (production, pick-up, drive-thru, drop-off) for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment. Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy, offering immunizations and services, and solving or escalating patient problems. Complete basic inventory activities such as putting away medication deliveries and cycle counts. Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs, including traveling to other stores in the market as needed.

Requirements

  • Must comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy, which includes but is not limited to, age, education, and licensure/certification
  • If the state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum age requirement, must be at least 16 years of age
  • If the state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum educational requirement, must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program
