Job Description
The Pharmacist technician will assist Pharmacists with technical and supportive functions, train and provide orientation and guidiance to newly hired pharmacy technicians, establish and maintain good relationships with the health care team, coordinate responses and resolutions with appropriate internal and external parties, perform all tasks in a timely and safe manner that is consistent with hospital policies, procedures as well as state and federal laws.

Requirements

  • Accurate data entry skills
  • Able to read write and speak English fluently
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing.
  • Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) Registered Pharmacy technician in the District of Columbia
  • Microsoft Office skills
  • Experience in hospital pharmacy setting (preferred)
  • High school diploma or GED (required)
  • Associate's degree in science related field and 1 year of hospital experience (preferred)
  • 2 years of experience in a hospital (preferred)
