Role OverviewThe Phlebotomist performs specimen procurement procedures in various hospital departments and off-site client locations. They procure blood specimens from patients by means of venipuncture, capillary, or arterial collection. The Phlebotomist also performs computer transcription and tasks related to documentation of specimen collection and specimen receipt in the Electronic Health Record.
What You Will Do
The Phlebotomist will perform specimen procurement procedures, drive ProHealth Care Laboratory vehicles, and maintain a valid driver's license and a safe driving record. They will also reconcile end-of-shift workload reports and hand off to incoming shifts using AIDET in all communications.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The Phlebotomist will work closely with pathologists and PhDs to monitor quality and identify new technology. They will also have the opportunity to work at various PHC Lab locations as needed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid WI Driver's license
- Completion of Phlebotomy program
- ASCP Phlebotomy Certification
- Epic Beaker experience
