Role OverviewLabCorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Float to join our team in Birmingham, AL. This role involves performing blood collections and specimen handling for all age groups, with a schedule of Monday through Friday varying between 6:00am-6:00pm and rotating Saturdays. As a Float Phlebotomist, you will work with a variety of patients, team members, and clinics/locations, offering a unique opportunity to quickly gain experience.
What You Will Do
Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol tests, and perform data entry of patient information. You will also process billing information, prepare specimens for testing, maintain patient logs, provide customer service, and travel to additional sites when needed.
