Role OverviewKING 5 is looking for an experienced News Photojournalist to join our national award-winning staff. Qualified candidates must create high-quality content within challenging news deadlines. We are seeking an individual who can break the mold on traditional content and independently produce stories for our on-air and digital platforms.
What You Will Do
Capture video and audio elements to craft compelling and captivating news, sports, and feature stories for both our linear AND streaming platforms. Collaborate with reporters to develop a cohesive vision for stories. Independently gather and create stories, showcasing your creativity and journalistic prowess.

This is an hourly, union represented position. The photojournalist will have the opportunity to pitch and execute long form projects for linear and streaming platforms while receiving editorial and creative guidance from top professionals in the industry.
Requirements
- 4+ years of relevant experience in TV photojournalism and/or news editing, OR 2+ years of relevant experience coupled with a bachelor’s degree in journalism
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
- The ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and occasionally up to 80 pounds, with or without accommodation
- Flexibility to work mornings, nights, holidays, and weekends
