Job Description
Under general direction, serves as a department resource in the area of clinical specialization. Provides consultation to physicians and other physical therapists, conducts staff training sessions and develops protocols in area of specialization. Also functions as staff physical therapist and evaluates, develops and implements treatment plans for patients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy required
  • Currently licensed in Massachusetts as a Physical Therapist
  • Advanced degree in a clinical specialty
  • Certification by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS) in one of its designated specialties is preferred but not required
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) strongly preferred
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required based on specialty
  • Five years of outpatient experience required
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills to work with all levels of management, staff and patients
  • Ability to use computerized system, including keyboard documentation
