Job Description
The Physical Therapist will carry out evaluation procedures, communicate results, and provide therapeutic intervention to students in the school setting. They will also maintain documentation, provide training, and collaborate with other professionals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution
  • Valid Texas License as an occupational therapist granted by the Executive Council of Physical Therapy Examiners
  • Successful completion of formal school-based pediatric affiliation or alternate pediatric experience
  • One year of experience in school-based physical therapy preferred
  • Graduation from a CAPTE-accredited physical therapy program
  • Successful completion of the APTA National Physical Therapy Examination
  • Current State of Texas license to practice physical therapy
  • Competencies in physical therapy service in settings with diverse populations
  • Knowledge of legislation regarding Special Education and related services
  • Must have own transportation
  • Ability to communicate in English and Spanish is a plus
