Physical Therapist (185 Days)

As a Physical Therapist, you will work in a school setting to provide therapeutic intervention to students with special needs. You will conduct evaluations, develop treatment plans, and provide services to students. You will also work with educational staff to implement therapeutic intervention and monitor the use of assistive technology. You will be responsible for maintaining documentation and participating in program development activities.

Requirements

• Bachelors, Masters, or Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution
• Valid Texas License as an occupational therapist granted by the Executive Council of Physical Therapy Examiners
• Successful completion of formal school-based pediatric affiliation or alternate pediatric experience
• One year of experience in school-based physical therapy preferred
• Graduation from a CAPTE-accredited physical therapy program
• Successful completion of the APTA National Physical Therapy Examination
• Current State of Texas license to practice physical therapy
• Competencies in physical therapy service in settings with diverse populations
• Knowledge of legislation regarding Special Education and related services
• Ability to communicate in English and Spanish is a plus
• Must have own transportation
