Physical Therapy Aide - Chicago (Lincoln Park North)

The Physical Therapy Aide will assist the Patient Experience Coordinator and clinicians by performing administrative and clinical duties, such as preparing patients for physical therapy treatments and providing routine treatments. They will work alongside physical therapists and assistants during patient treatment. This role is part of the Clinic Support Staff team at Athletico, a company that provides life-changing care for patients.

What You Will Do

The Physical Therapy Aide will prepare patients for physical therapy treatments, assist physical therapists during treatments, provide routine treatments such as hot/cold packs and modalities, and maintain the work area and equipment. They will also assist the Patient Experience Coordinator with answering phones, scheduling appointments, and filing paperwork.

Requirements

• High school graduate and/or intern preferred
• Previous Clinical Aide or Rehab Tech experience preferred
• Strong communication and presentation skills-written and verbal
• Ability to clearly document all projects and manage production
• Attention to detail and time management skills are required
• Patient/Client Satisfaction: Providing care/service that exceeds expectations
• Energetic and a team player
• Able to demonstrate compassion toward patients
• Complete tasks thoroughly
• Basic knowledge of office equipment preferred
• Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently
