Job Description
Under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, provides physical therapy treatment to meet specific measurable goals. Assists in maintaining departmental policies and procedures, and reports changes in patient condition to the supervising Physical Therapist.

Requirements

  • Maintains established departmental policies and procedures
  • Assists the Physical Therapist during patient testing, evaluations and procedures
  • Designs and fits adaptive devices
  • Teaches patients/family the skills and techniques required for participation in Physical Therapy
  • Reports any changes in a patient's condition to the supervising Physical Therapist
  • Maintains adequate records within the medical record
  • Supervises Rehabilitation Technicians and Aides appropriately
  • Conducts or participates in Inservice training as needed for other hospital personnel
  • Participates in educational programs and Inservice meetings
  • Attends meetings as required
