Job Description
The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction is seeking board-eligible or board-certified physicians in internal medicine, family medicine, or emergency medicine to provide primary care services on a full-time/part-time basis in our various correctional facilities across Ohio. Our robust centralized medical provider leadership team includes a state medical director, two assistant state medical directors, and a nurse practitioner supervisor.

Requirements

  • Certificate to practice medicine in state of Ohio as issued by State Medical Board
  • Ability to work collaboratively with intra and interdepartmental staff
  • Ability to conduct exams, write evaluations and reports, order and interpret diagnostic testing, manage medication, complete reclassifications and other reviews as indicated, make referrals for specialized care or treatment, and perform duties in accordance with scope of practice; ODRC policies, procedures, protocols; and related American Correctional Association standards
