Job Description
The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction is seeking a board-eligible or board-certified physician in psychiatry to work part-time or full-time at the Southern Ohio Correctional Facility. The selected psychiatrist will treat a caseload of male patients alongside a psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner as part of a comprehensive multi-disciplinary treatment team.

Requirements

  • Board certification or eligibility in psychiatry
  • Medical license in the state of Ohio
  • Experience in behavioral health and corrections-mental health
  • Ability to work collaboratively with intra and interdepartmental staff
  • Ability to perform duties in accordance with scope of practice, ODRC policies, procedures, protocols, and related American Correctional Association standards
