Job Description
The Center for Inherited Blood Disorders (CIBD) is a mission-driven non-profit focused on delivering high-quality, comprehensive, and family-centered care to improve the quality of life for children and adults with blood disorders. The Physician Assistant provides high-quality, comprehensive, and family-centered care to people living with Mast Cell Activation Syndrome and its related disorders.

Requirements

  • Provide comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of primarily Mast Cell Activation Syndrome and its related diagnosis in addition to all forms of congenital or acquired blood and bone marrow disorders
  • Provide comprehensive assessment of disease activity and extent of physical disability
  • Conduct psychosocial functional assessment and provide assistance
  • Engage in child and family education and goal setting
  • Provide development of comprehensive treatment plan that includes specialized consultative services
  • Provide medical order for prescription refills, administration of medications, ancillary testing, and/or referrals
  • Reviews ancillary test results and coordinates notification to the patient
  • Obtain and document consultations into the Electronic Medical Record
  • Complete all documentation and paperwork in a timely manner and in compliance with insurance and reimbursement guidelines
  • Works closely with Medical Director and physicians to provide leadership and medical direction for the clinic
  • Expand the services of the Clinic through program development
