Job Description
The Attending Staff Physician is the attending of record for assigned residents and provides direction and coordination of medical care for assigned long term care and short-term rehabilitation program residents.

Requirements

  • Doctor of allopathic or osteopathic medicine
  • Licensed to practice medicine in New York State
  • Board Certified in family medicine or internal medicine
  • Added qualifications and/or board certification in geriatrics and/or hospice and palliative medicine are highly desirable
  • Certified Medical Director (CMD) Certification by the Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medical Association is desirable
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience working as part of an interdisciplinary care team or fellowship training in geriatrics or hospice and palliative medicine
