Role OverviewJoin Gaudenzia's team as a Physician to promote long-term recovery by providing comprehensive treatment and support to people with substance use disorder, co-occurring mental health disorders, and related conditions. Work in a substance use disorder treatment setting, conducting patient assessments, managing primary and acute care needs, and promoting medication-assisted treatment.
What You Will Do
Conduct thorough patient assessments, assess and manage patients' primary and acute care needs, promote medication-assisted treatment, and order and monitor medication and medical care for clients.
Why It Might Be a Fit
This role requires a minimum of three to five years' experience in a substance use disorder treatment setting, with experience with electronic medical records and individual professional liability insurance. The ideal candidate will be able to work on-site in Erie, PA, and participate in weekly treatment team meetings.
Requirements
- MD or DO required
- Board certification in Addiction Medicine preferred
- Experience with electronic medical records required
- Individual Professional Liability insurance required
- Valid, unrestricted Federal Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) number
- Valid Pennsylvania PROMISE number
- Minimum of three to five years' experience
- Work experience in a substance use disorder treatment setting preferred
