Job Description
Role Overview

The Pile Driver supports field operations at marine project locations for Orion, working closely with the Project Superintendent, Barge Foreman, Pile Driver Operator, Welders, Laborers, and other skilled or semi-skilled crafts persons. The incumbent must support the guiding beliefs and core values of Orion, centered on Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Teamwork.

What You Will Do

The Pile Driver performs critical hands-on work installing and extracting steel, concrete, and timber piling in support of docks, wharves, ports, marine terminals, bridges, bulkheads, marine foundations, and other waterfront infrastructure. The incumbent must work closely with other skilled craft persons to complete current projects in a safe and efficient manner.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The Pile Driver must have a minimum of two (2) years crane rigging and/or operations experience on land and on barges or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the necessary piledriving and crane operations skills, knowledge, and abilities.

Requirements

  • A minimum of two (2) years crane rigging and/or operations experience on land and on barges or any equivalent combination of experience and training
  • Understand the basic functions and operations of various types of pile hammers
  • Be able to read and understand blueprints or site plans
  • Have general knowledge of construction rigging
