Role OverviewAssists journeyman level pipefitters in laying out, fabricating, assembling, installing and maintaining piping systems, pipe supports, fixtures, and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
What You Will Do
Selects type and size of pipe and related materials, inspects worksite, plans sequence of installation, cuts pipe, threads pipe, bends pipe, assembles and installs pipes and pipe fittings, secures pipes to structure, installs and maintains refrigeration and air conditioning systems, tests piping systems for leaks, welds pipe supports to structural steel members, and performs minor maintenance of cleaning activities of tools and equipment.
Why It Might Be a Fit
May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with 0-2 years of experience in the field or a related area. Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks in a timely, safe and efficient manner.
