Role OverviewPerforms brazing to install refrigeration components and assists with unit layout and setup in accordance with established standards.
What You Will Do
Measures, cuts, bends, assembles, and installs copper and steel tubing. Performs brazing tasks, including using a torch to apply solder, operating a copper saw, and making flares.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, and be able to read and interpret documents, perform basic math, and apply concepts of algebra and geometry.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
